AhlulBayt News Agency: At least 57,418 Palestinians have been killed since October 2023 in Israel’s war on Gaza, according to a statement by the Palestinian Health Ministry on Sunday.
The ministry reported that in the past 24 hours alone, 80 bodies were recovered and 304 individuals were wounded, bringing the total number of injured to 136,261, Anadolu Agency noted.
“Many victims remain buried under rubble or stranded in streets where rescuers cannot access them,” the ministry added.
It also stated that within the last day, eight Palestinians were killed and over 40 injured while attempting to receive humanitarian aid—raising the total aid-related casualties since May 27 to 751 dead and more than 4,931 wounded.
Israel resumed its attacks on Gaza on March 18, violating a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal established in January. Since then, 6,860 more Palestinians have been killed and 24,220 wounded.
In November 2023, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel is also the subject of an ongoing genocide case at the International Court of Justice related to its military actions in the enclave.
